Background
AWFA has administered a successful Representative program since 1974, with teams ranging from U11 to U16. These teams have over 250 participants who are selected throughout a trialing process held during October and November each year.
Our Representative Program offers an opportunity for players to gain access to further pathways to continue their footballing journey, as well as having access to the best coaching and development in the Albury-Wodonga area. Our teams attend several tournaments throughout NSW and Victoria, including but not limited to tournaments in Bathurst, Geelong, and Shepparton.

In 2023, AWFA took a significant step forward in enhancing the efficiency and success of its representative program by appointing two Technical Directors. This strategic move aims to streamline the development and overall performance of the program, ensuring that it aligns with the our goals and standards.
The appointment of Technical Directors reflects AWFA’s commitment to providing high-quality coaching and technical guidance to players within its representative program. These individuals possess extensive experience and expertise in football coaching, player development, and program management.
Mick and Fiona, the appointed Technical Directors, bring a wealth of experience and knowledge to their respective roles. With a shared passion for the sport and a commitment to nurturing talent, they aimed to elevate the standard of the representative program and contribute to the overall growth of women’s football in Australia.
